
Mohammed Mortajine is ACI’s chief risk and administrative officer. In this role, he provides executive leadership and strategic guidance for the risk management and shared services organization. This organization includes the critical support functions of risk management, global information security, compliance, corporate security, corporate IT, facilities and real estate.
In 2021, Mr. Mortajine joined ACI as Head of Compliance, Security and Risk Management, bringing his diverse experience guiding compliance and risk management strategies and interacting with regulatory bodies across all continents.
Prior to joining ACI, Mr. Mortajine spent more than a decade at Western Union, where he served as the Global Head of Compliance Strategy and Field Oversight. In this capacity, he led compliance field operations and managed regulatory and AML compliance globally. He then served as Global Money Transfer Chief Administrative Officer before taking on the role of Head of Retail Go to Market for the Americas. Mr. Mortajine also gained experience in management roles at Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP), Proctor & Gamble and BMCE Bank of Africa.
Mr. Mohammed is fluent in English, French and Arabic. He holds a master’s degree in engineering science from the Mohammadia School of Engineering in Morocco.
