NAPLES, FLA—October 1, 2020—ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time digital payment software and solutions, today announced its participation at SIBOS 2020, SWIFT's annual international financial services conference, held virtually this year from October 5–7.

With real-time payments now a global reality, the modernization of cross-border payments has brought transparency, certainty and speed to international business. The success of new initiatives such as SWIFT gpi and Universal Confirmations rely on end-to-end, real-time and data-rich transaction flows. The biggest challenge to overcome is the creation of domestic or regional real-time payments systems to serve every market.

Craig Ramsey, Global Head of Real-time Payments, ACI Worldwide, will chair the session ‘The Last Steps in Cross-Border Real-Time Payments,’ on Monday, October 5 from 9.30 – 10.00 CET. Together with Stephen Grainger, Executive Vice President, Business Partnerships, New Payment Platforms, Mastercard and Christian Sarafidis, Chief Business Development Officer Worldwide, Financial Services, Microsoft, the panel will spotlight the role that regulators, governments, central banks and all financial institutions have to play in launching new real-time payments systems and connect participants to accelerate time to value.

The panelists will also discuss this week’s announcement of ACI Worldwide and Mastercard to collaborate in order to advance new payments services globally.

Somya Patnaik, Senior Product Manager, Real-Time & Digital Payments, ACI Worldwide, will participate in the session ‘Payment platform modernization to achieve sustainable advantage,’ on Monday, October 5 at 10:00 AM CET. The panelists will debate how financial services institutions can architect enterprise payments infrastructure for efficiency and competitive advantage.
