ACI Worldwide’s Carolyn Homberger Honored With ‘Rising Star’ Award at Annual U.S. Women in Payments Symposium

February 5, 2019

NAPLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2019-- ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, today announced that Carolyn Homberger, group president, has been recognized at the U.S. Women in Payment Symposium, receiving the ‘Rising Star Under 40’ award for her leadership and professional excellence in the payments industry.

Since joining ACI in 2006, Carolyn has held several key roles across different business divisions and has led significant transformation projects. Part of ACI’s Executive Leadership Team, she is a key decision-maker involved with business strategy, growth and the expansion of ACI’s market-leading Universal Payments portfolio. Carolyn is a strong advocate for the leadership and growth of women in the payments industry, launching ACI’s own Women’s Initiative.

“I am humbled to be recognized at the U.S. Women in Payments Awards alongside women who innovate, inspire and educate – but most importantly who all share a common vision for a payments industry with greater inclusion, diversity and advocacy for women in all roles,” said Carolyn Homberger, group president, ACI Worldwide. “It is also important to acknowledge the vital role that ACI has played in my success; I am immensely proud to work for an organization that provides mentorship, empowers women, and strives for gender parity in a traditionally male-dominated industry.”

“Carolyn’s commitment, energy, and track record in leading transformational projects is a source of inspiration and pride for those she works alongside, and those who she leads,” said Craig Saks, chief operating officer, ACI Worldwide. “As a company, we are immensely proud of all our leaders recognized for these awards – it is deserved acknowledgement of the drive, creativity and passion for action this talented group brings to ACI and to the broader payments industry.”

A further five ACI leaders were recognized as finalists for the U.S. Women in Payments Awards, including Eve Aretakis, WIP Award for Innovation; Mandy Killam, WIP Award for Inspiration; Erika Dietrich, WIP Educator Award; Shelley Ahlers, WIP Advocate for Women Award; and Sylvie Boucheron-Saunier, WIP Distinguished Payments Professional.
