Leading Italian Outsource Provider Selects ACI Worldwide's Card and Merchant Management System
NEW YORK, NY— June 13, 2012—ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading international provider of payment systems, announced today that Engineering, a leading Italian systems integrator and outsourcing provider, has expanded its relationship with ACI to support a new contract for issuing up to one million prepaid cards for online commerce.
Engineering has been a long-time ACI customer, using ACI Issuer™ and ACI Interchange™ to issue credit cards and provide processing services. ACI Issuer provides financial institutions with a single platform for issuing and supporting credit, debit, pre-paid and corporate cards. With this latest agreement, Engineering now plans to leverage ACI Issuer and ACI Interchange on the UNIX platform, enabling them to issue prepaid cards to new customers in a cost-effective manner.
