ACI Worldwide Launches New Version of ACI Enterprise Banker, Including Mobile Functionality
(New York, N.Y. – September 12, 2011) – ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq: ACIW), a leading international provider of payment systems, today announced the launch of ACI Enterprise Banker™ release 7.6, its online banking solution for corporate customers. The new release delivers improved usability and mobility, and helps banks increase security for online banking customers. It is already being used by ACI’s customers using Enterprise Banker in ACI’s SaaS environment, ACI On Demand (AOD) – serving more than 350,000 end users.
Corporate online banking is expanding from the traditional treasury specialists who desire complex user interfaces, to more small and medium-sized business users who want to easily manage their bank accounts online or via a mobile device. Release 7.6 extends Enterprise Banker’s success in serving this broad spectrum of business banking clients with new usability features.
An enhanced web-style dashboard, or landing page, allows business customers to see at a glance the status of accounts, transactions and reporting. The ACH Quick Payments feature is a new approach to rapidly define ACH payments using a streamlined process pre-populated with information for many types of ACH payments. Enterprise Banker 7.6 also offers improved workflow for US-based wire Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) transactions using a wizard, including templates and approvals process, which reduces the time to create and manage wire transactions.
In response to the growing demand for mobility and any time, any place access, the new product is also fully enabled for mobile devices – providing banks with one platform from which to deliver both online and mobile banking and delivering a consistent user experience regardless of device. This capability is already in use with businesses of different sizes, delivering real benefits to banks’ corporate customers.
Christine Barry, research director at Aite Group said: "ACI is a leader in large US deployments for online business banking, and the new Enterprise Banker 7.6 is further along than many competitors in widget creation and design. It offers robust functionality coupled with simplified workflows for broad scalability, and will deliver significant benefits to both banks and their customers."
Banks around the world are seeing increases in online business banking fraud and recommendations from organizations such as Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) demand that financial institutions endeavor to protect their customers. The new version of Enterprise Banker includes interoperability with ACI’s leading fraud detection solution – ACI Proactive Risk Manager™ - which delivers real time analytics and transaction validation designed to block those that are deemed fraudulent. This is based on Proactive Risk Manager’s comprehensive behavioral analysis which looks at financial and non-financial data, including elements such as IP profiling and other complex device information.
As with previous versions, Enterprise Banker 7.6 works with the browser-based security services provided by Trusteer, to track and prevent man-in-the-browser and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Louis Blatt, chief product officer at ACI Worldwide said, “The Enterprise Banker product shows again and again its relevance and usability for banks today – as demonstrated by our first quarter 2011 number of customer using our AOD platform - which showed more than 50% growth in end users relying on Enterprise Banker compared to 2010. But in the U.S., more than 50% of business-to-business payments are still paper based – which shows the potential savings for businesses, and the potential market for banks. This new release enables banks to deliver a much more user-friendly and secure approach to corporate payments, for organizations of any size.”
