ACI Worldwide and SRS LLC Form Strategic Alliance
(Omaha, Neb. — 14 January 2008) — ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading international provider of software for electronic payment systems, today announced a strategic alliance with Simply Retail Solutions (SRS), LLC. The agreement allows ACI and SRS to combine and market their retail payment suites to deliver a more complete solution that will address all points within payment initiation and payment switching. The SRS Multi-Channel Product Suite manages a retailer’s entire portfolio of sales transaction solutions and facilitates exposure of information across channels for everything related to customers and inventory. The ACI Retail Commerce Server™ suite of solutions allows merchant retailers to tailor their payment acceptance strategy to maximize profits, manage transaction fees and optimize the customer purchase experience. Together these products will offer mutual customers a proven end-to-end retail payment solution.
Based on IBM’s WebSphere Commerce platform, SRS Multi-Channel Product Suite provides a focal point for all transaction processing at the point of sale. Multi-Channel Enterprise provides this core engine for a retail system, seamlessly integrating all retail payment channels and enabling true multi-channel retailing. The product also provides a real-time centralized information hub which manages all information related to the sale, gathered from systems across all retail channels. Retail Commerce Server will act as the payment switch to acquire, route and authorize the payments portion of the transactions providing a fast, convenient and cost-effective method for processing a wide variety of electronic payment options. The solution can be tailored to help retailers achieve their business objectives from the point of transaction initiation to real-time processing to back-office collections.
